Jake 2009Jacob M (Jake) Goldman is a web developer and strategist with over a decade of experience in his field, concentrated in database application development, visual design, usability, and information architecture.

Today, as Director of Client Services at C. Murray Consulting, Jake is focused on complete Content Management System (CMS) integration and end user experiences. While the C. Murray team supports many platforms, Jake has increasingly concentrated his personal development on the rapidly growing WordPress platform.

Between mid-2008 and mid-2009, Jake oversaw more than two dozen highly customized implementations, two of which are featured on the official showcase. His “WordPress Power Tips” articles for Smashing Magazine consistently make the front page of Delicious. Between supporting clients, Jake has found the time to develop and contribute 8 highly rated WordPress plug-ins to the community.

Jake’s success in customer service, technical project management, and new business development is exhibited in his 8+ years of private consulting, his management of the Multimedia Development group at Advanced Solutions for Tomorrow for two years, and in his present role at C. Murray Consulting.

His experience spans many markets, including business and consumer services, nonprofits, education, healthcare, online advertising, and government contracting. Through his consulting practice and employers, he has supported dozens of clients around the world, from small to medium local businesses, to major nonprofits like the Ford Foundation, to the United States Navy, to successful international businesses like FastMail.FM (Australia) and m62 visual communications (UK). His interactive web ads have appeared on such high traffic websites as Politico.

Jake graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island, earning a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from its AACSB accredited College of Business Administration. Graduating from the University Honors Program, he also holds minors in Economics and Film Studies. Jake also holds a President’s Award, awarded to one graduating senior in each degree of study, selected by the faculty. During his tenure, he was also awarded a grant used to develop a prototype for a personalized, learner-centric e-learning platform.
